It took Justin Rose just four holes to write his name in Olympic history as he made a hole-in-one in the first round in Rio de Janeiro.
When local hero Adilson da Silva hit the first shot in Olympic golf for 112 years at 7.30am, it would have been easy to presume that that would be the only history-making shot on Thursday - but then along came Rose.
Just under five hours later, the Briton stood on the fourth tee and unleashed a seven iron on the 189-yard par three that took a big bounce, a couple of small hops and rolled into the cup.
Cue high-fives with playing partners Rickie Fowler and Jhonattan Vegas and a Brazilian crowd going wild, as Rose made the 29th ace of the European Tour season so far.
"I give my caddie credit for that one," he said. "I was going to hit an eight iron but he told me seven and I went with it for a change and it worked out.

"It was one of those, almost like an infinity edge where the pin wasn't where the cup sits and where the back edge falls off the green. So it was either in or it was off the back edge. The way the reaction was from the people up around the green, I figured that it went in and not over the back."
Rose added four birdies and two bogeys to his ace to record a 67 and sit four shots behind leader Marcus Fraser after the first round, and the Briton enjoyed his first taste of Olympic golf.
"It was really fun," he added. "People were out there with flags and wearing their various team colours which makes it something unique and different and you feel like you are representing not just Team GB, but a nation as well.
"This is great a competition. You just have to look around at the scale of the Olympic Games and what a big deal it is. This is competition of the highest level and that's what I live for."
