Olesen to take aggressive approach

Thorbjørn Olesen overcame a stomach bug to battle his way into contention at the Shenzhen International after a third round 67 at Genzon Golf Club.

The Dane was one of a host of players who had to finish their second rounds on Saturday morning, and played 33 holes on day three as he moved to eight under and a share of eighth.

That is six shots behind leader Soomin Lee but the South Korean still has seven holes to complete in his third round on Sunday morning, and Olesen has vowed to be aggressive as he attempts to win a fourth European Tour title.

I'll go out there tomorrow and try to make a lot of putts and try to be aggressive and have fun and see what it can bring - Thorbjørn Olesen

"It's funny, because I didn't actually feel like I was playing as good today as I was the first two rounds. I had some problems with my stomach, also, out there. But I got some good pills and that held me through it.

"A 67 is a good score here. There's a few tight tee-shots out there and you have to really be on your game. So I'm pretty happy."

Over six and a half hours were lost due to thunderstorms on days one and two but the weather held on Saturday and Olesen is hopeful that the tournament will be completed on Sunday.

"With four holes to go, we didn't think we would get done, so now it's really nice that we don't have a 4am alarm wake-up call tomorrow," he added.

"It's nice that we can sleep in a little bit and hopefully the weather will be all right tomorrow so we get all four rounds in."
