Brothers Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick both fired rounds of 65 on day two at the Omega European Masters to set up the mouth-watering prospect of them playing together over the weekend.
Just two shots separated the duo after 36 holes at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club, meaning they could well be in the same group at some point before the trophy is lifted on Sunday if they keep going toe-to-toe.
They have played together as rivals before having been drawn as partners but this would be the first time they would be together as a result of their places on the leaderboard, something Matt admits he would find "weird".
"It's weird competing for a tournament because we never did it in juniors," he said.
"I was asking Nicolai (Højgaard) yesterday, did him and (twin brother) Rasmus do it and he said they did in juniors but they're the same age, we're four years apart so we've never really experienced it before.
"It's going to be a nightmare for my parents."
Matt - who turned 29 on Friday - knows all about playing in the mountains, having won this event in back-to-back years in 2017 and 2018, with two further top tens in his six appearances.
Alex, on the other hand, is making his debut in Switzerland and after shooting 65-65, he believes the fondness for the Swiss Alps may be "in the genes".
"He's my brother but he's also a competitor so I'm still trying to beat him," he said. "I shot five under and didn't gain any ground today so that was a little frustrating.
"It would be good. I've played a little bit of golf with him now in competitive events and it would be fun to go against him."
The younger Fitzpatrick, however, disagrees with Matt on parents Russell and Susan's opinion of them going head-to-head.
"Our parents would probably be happy because it would mean less walking, they can walk one round instead of two," he said.
