Noren makes his move

Alex Noren set the early pace today as he moved into a share of the lead in the Ballantine's Championship in South Korea.

Noren, the Swede, was the most notable mover at the top of the leaderboard thanks to a five under par 67 that took him 10 under after rain allowed the completion of the third round.

He was joined at the top by Welshman Rhys Davies, who carded a 68, while Miguel Angel Jiménez, the Spaniard who led when rain forced play to be suspended yesterday, maintained his position courtesy of a 69.

All three players birdied the 18th, and will begin the last round – due to start immediately at the Blackstone GC Course – one shot clear of Brett Rumford.

The Australian's one over par 73, which featured three bogeys on the back nine, cost him the overnight lead he shared with Jiménez, while Richie Ramsay, Lee Westwood and Sany-hyun Park are two shots further adrift on seven under par.

Ramsay and Westwood went round in a three under par 69 today, while Park shot 70.

Noren, however, set the standard with a near flawless round that featured a solitary bogey on the par four fourth.

That was preceded by birdies on the first two holes, and four more on the back nine - including two in succession on 14 and 15 - as he reined in the leaders.

Jiménez, whose overnight advantage was due in part to three birdies on the outward nine, consolidated this morning before a six on the 15th ensured his round ending birdie earned him a share of rather than the outright lead.
