Alex Noren and Miguel Angel Jiménez continue to battle it out at the top of the leaderboard as the Ballantine's Championship approaches a thrilling conclusion.
They shared the lead on 10 under par after the completion of the rain-delayed third round today, and could not be separated midway through the final round which began immediately afterwards.
Noren, the Swede, shot two birdies and two bogeys on the outward nine at the Blackstone GC Course in South Korea, and Spaniard Jiménez did likewise in the first seven holes to preserve the status quo.
Welshman Rhys Davies, however, relinquished his share of the third-round lead after bogeying three of the first eight holes.
It left England’s Lee Westwood, the world number one, as the closest challenger to the top two. He was one shot adrift on nine under after reaching the 11th two under for the final round.
Home favourite Sang-hyun Park was well placed on eight under alongside Davies and Brett Rumford, the Australian with whom Jiménez shared the overnight lead.
Dustin Johnson went out in a one under par 35 and Søren Kjeldsen was also one under through seven, both moving to seven under par and within three shots of the lead.
Should Noren win, he may look back on his third round as key. Having been interrupted by rain yesterday, he carded a five under par 67 which featured four birdies on the back nine.
Rumford, meanwhile, saw his hopes fade after an erratic end to the third round - he shot three bogeys to complement two birdies over the back nine - and the concession of two shots in the first eight holes of the final round.
