No change of plan for Wang

Jeunghun Wang insisted he would be focusing on his game and not the result as he heads into the final round of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open one shot off the lead.

The South Korean won the Trophée Hassan II last week, having started the final round three shots behind the leader, birdieing the last to take the event to a play-off and then birdieing it twice again to claim a maiden victory in Morocco.

He will head into Sunday at Four Seasons Golf Club at Anahita on the coat-tails of leader Siddikur Rahman but is adamant he will not allow thoughts of back-to-back wins to change his game.

"Last week I didn't think about winning and it happened, so this week I don't want to think about winning," he said.

I'm just taking it one shot at a time and hoping that adds up to a good score - Jeunghun Wang

"I've taken a lot of confidence from last week, though, and the experience really helps me."

Andrew Dodt began the day with a three-shot lead and extended that to five at one point before a back nine of 43 saw him slip four shots off the pace.

Despite that disappointment, however, the Australian two-time winner believes he still has a chance to finish at the top of the leaderboard come Sunday night.

"I haven't played my way out of the tournament – I'm still in with a shot tomorrow," he said. "You have to hit great golf shots out there and unfortunately I didn't do that today.

"It's not until you finish and look at the scores that you remember how tough it is. I probably came back down to earth today after the first two rounds.

"I just need to play that stretch from 13 better tomorrow if I'm to have a chance."

Another man who feels he has a chance of victory on Sunday is Nicolas Colsaerts, who is in familiar territory due to his attachment to the Four Seasons.

The Belgian fired a brilliant 65 in the second round and while he followed that with a 73 on Saturday, he goes into the final round just four shots off the lead.

"It was tough again but it's the same for everyone," he said. "I made a few stupid mistakes, made bogeys on holes where I made it more difficult than it should've been.

"I bogeyed 16 and 17, which wasn't really necessary, but fortunately I birdied the 18th to stay in there and not let an average day get away from me.

I'm probably just in reach but of course I'm going to have to play well tomorrow - Nicolas Colsaerts

"Anything can happen, and you can quickly go one way or the other. I'm pretty happy with the position I'm in and tomorrow I'll try to play well for the whole day."
