My European Tour fans triumph in Fantasy land

Henrik Stenson was not the only one celebrating at the end of the 2013 season with two fans emerging victorious from the Fantasy Race to Dubai game.

Henrik Stenson - Race to Dubai champion

Our season long Fantasy Race to Dubai game saw My European Tour fans compete from week-to-week in picking teams of ten, with the prize money gained from each tournament totalled up as the season progressed, until an overall winner was found at the completion of all 46 events played in 25 countries throughout the year.

Chris Younger and his Forever England team topped the overall leaderboard with an impressive total of €23,363,255 to win an all-expenses paid trip to see next season climax once more in the Middle East at the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.

Alongside his business class flights from London to Dubai, Mr Younger also receives a hospitality package for the 2014 finale at Jumeirah Golf Estates, the opportunity to play in a sponsor’s day after the tournament on the Earth Course, and a brand new set of Titleist irons.

The winning Forever England team triumphed by an impressive €555,575 but for those who narrowly missed out, their consolation comes in the form of numerous Titleist goodies. For players from second to fifth place a set of irons and a bag is reward for a solid season, while those who finished out the top ten will all receive a new driver. From 11thto 20thplace, a year’s supply of Titleist golf balls.

Throughout the year the best teams each week, and month, also picked up some great branded European Tour merchandise.

This season a Top Ten Challenge was introduced running alongside the main prize with the best ten teams each week advancing to a season-ending shootout in Dubai, with one overall winner being decided at the completion of the year.

Kevin Ruizendaal and his RuizGolf team were the victors on this occasion, after a third place finish in the Overall game the week of the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai. With the likes of Victor Dubuisson, Ian Poulter and Justin Rose in his team he triumphed over his other Top Ten Challengers, having earned his place in the final thanks to a strong week at the Volvo China Open earlier in the year.

As a result, he now has the choice of one of four great prizes -  either a season pass to The European Tour in 2014, hospitality for two at the BMW PGA Championship, £500 to spend in the European Tour or Ryder Cup shops, or golf for four (including lunch) at one of our selected European Tour Properties.

Fantastic rewards for inspired team management, and proof on all counts, that it can pay to play The European Tour Fantasy game.
