At 17 years and 64 days old, the Korean displayed poise in a final round where he began in front, fell behind, and then went eight under par on the final 12 holes of the tournament to win by three.

In doing so, the Korean claimed the ‘youngest champion’ distinction from Italy’s Matteo Manassero who won the European Tour’s 2010 CASTELLÓ MASTERS Costa Azahar at 17 years and 188 days old.
