Rory McIlroy is just one shot behind leaders Rickie Fowler and Y E Yang after the opening round of the Kolon Korea Open.
The US Open Champion from Northern Ireland carded a three under par 68 at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club.
American Fowler and Korea’s former US PGA Championship winner Yang lead the way after 67s, with McIlroy joined by Hong Soon-sang and amateur Lee Soo-min one off the pace.
McIlroy has been in tremendous form since returning from a wrist injury - finishing third in Switzerland and The Netherlands before finishing runner-up to Michael Hoey at last week’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
