Luiten retains advantage

Dutchman Joost Luiten recovered from a shaky start to remain the man to beat midway through the final round of the Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity in Austria.

Luiten

began the day with a three shot lead but saw that instantly reduced to one when he missed a four footer and bogeyed the opening hole at Diamond Country Club and playing partner Jorge Campillo made birdie.

A birdie on the second quickly repaired the damage, but Luiten's lead was back to one again when France's Romain Wattel carded his fourth birdie of the day at the sixth to move to 15 under par.

Luiten

, seeking a second European Tour title, responded with a two-putt birdie on the par five seventh, and when Wattel failed to get up and down from a

greenside

bunker on the ninth, the gap was back to three shots once more.

Campillo was a shot further back on 13 under with China's Liang Wen-

chong

and Denmark's Thomas Björn another stroke behind.

Liang and Björn got within two shots on 14 under before the threat of lightning forced play to be suspended, with Luiten having just teed off on the 14th.
