"Unique”. That is the word that has been used many times this week in relation to The European Tour and Ladies European Tour hosting events at the same venue for the first time.
Many of the players from the respective tours are friends, with some going back years having played junior golf together, but there are some gathered here in Morocco this week who are more than just friends.
Step forward three-time European Tour winner Richard Green, who is engaged to LET star Marianne Skarpnord; while Matthew Southgate and Charlotte Thompson have been together for over two years; and Scottish pair Scott Henry and Kylie Walker have been dating for the past decade.
We thought we would put their relationships to the test in a series of fun challenges on the putting green, with both their golfing skills and knowledge of one another being put under the microscope.

After three intense rounds of blindfold putting, questionable chipping and ball juggling, it was Southgate and Thompson who emerged victorious.
While the English pair celebrated with a kiss, we hope Green and Henry were not forced to sleep on the sofa – or in the doghouse – after their showing.
