Lord Coe entertains fans at Wentworth

As the galleries eagerly awaited the arrival of the final groups at the BMW PGA Championship, a number of fans took the opportunity to head down to the Tented Village and hear from Olympic hero Lord Sebastian Coe.

Taking part in the fianl ‘Cotter’s Questions’ series this week, the Chairman of the London Organising Committee for the 2012 Olympic Games was answering questions on the upcoming sporting celebration covering things such as the desired legacy of the biggest sporting event to grace these shores since the football World Cup in 1966.

He was in fine form, and very convivial with those posing the questions, and with this year’s Games being the last before golf enters the fray in four years’ time it was a very apt appearance from the man who has been the face of London 2012 since the bid was launched back in 2004.

It was also a nice bookend on a week that started with Olympic medallist, and sailing hopeful, Ben Ainslie participating in the pro-am, having run the opening leg on the Olympic Torch relay this last weekend.
