Levet makes his moves

Frenchman Thomas Levet made the biggest moves on the third morning of the Open de Andalucia de Golf in Malaga.

After going out in 31 with four birdies and a bogey, he then picked up another shot on the tenth to be five under, five off the pace set by overnight leaders Sam Hutsby and Louis Oosthuizen.

Spaniard Quiros was another early starter to shine as he produced one of the best outward halfs of the morning.

Having survived the halfway cut with nothing to spare, Quiros birdied the third and eighth and by turning in 32 had improved to two under.

Sweden’s Alex Noren had also reached the weekend with little to spare, but he could not find his best form on Saturday morning as his hopes of challenging for the title faded fast.

Needing to win to have a chance of qualifying for the Masters Tournament, Noren bogeyed the first, third and fifth and with a front nine 37 was down on three over par.

That was 13 strokes behind the two overnight leaders.
