The South Korean, playing in just his second European Tour event, came into Sunday with a three-shot advantage and remained at 15 under through four holes, with nearest challenger Marcus Fraser picking up a shot on the third.

There was then a group of five players at 11 under with Richard Bland and Stephen Gallacher leading the chasing pack at Royal Selangor Golf Club.

Lee dropped a shot with a disappointing three-putt at the second but picked it back up on the next following a good drive and an excellent chip after nearly reaching the par five in two.

Australian Fraser chose to lay-up on the same hole but put his approach to within seven feet and rolled in a birdie of his own before saving par on the fourth thanks to a beautiful chip after a wayward tee shot.

Lee also made par after a good two-putt from distance and the lead was two shots after four holes.

Bland had birdies on the first and third to sit four back after six holes while Gallacher also had two birdies on the second and third.

Nathan Holman, the other member of the final group, was level par through four holes with Masahiro Kawamura and Miguel Tabuena both one under for the day.

Jorge Campillo, Pablo Larrazábal and Julien Quesne were all at ten under with Robert Rock and Peter Uihlein a further shot back having picked up five shots in their final rounds.
