Lee keeps his nose in front

Soomin Lee saw his lead cut to two shots as the final round of the Shenzhen International got under way at Genzon Golf Club.

The South Korean is searching for a first European Tour win at just the sixth attempt after two top tens in his first five events, and has been in brilliant form all week at the weather-delayed tournament.

He did not drop a shot until the 17th hole of his third round and he added another on the first when he returned for round four to slip back to 14 under after three holes.

That put him two shots ahead of France's Alexander Levy, England's Lee Slattery and Welshman Bradley Dredge.

Lee had held a three-shot lead after the second round but saw that cut to two when play was suspended on Saturday as Callum Shinkwin registered a brilliant 62.

Three birdies on the resumption saw him stretch his advantage to five and he appeared to be cruising until he found the water to double-bogey the 17th and, when the third round was finally completed, he was three ahead.

The 22 year old held the same advantage heading into his final round at the Maybank Championship Malaysia but could not get over the line that week as he made two double-bogeys in his last three holes.

Levy and Slattery had joined Shinkwin in second as they completed their third rounds and it was Levy who made the early move in round four with an approach to a foot producing a birdie on the first as Lee and Shinkwin both dropped a shot.

There was a short delay with the final group on the second courtesy of a short downpour, and Levy and Shinkwin both made bogeys as Lee's lead went back to two shots.

Dredge had moved into the group at 12 under courtesy of a brilliant approach to the first, with Joost Luiten and Brandon Stone a further shot back.

Dutchman Luiten had birdied the second with South Africa's Stone making a gain on the third as the leaderboard closed up in the early stages.

Shinkwin was then at ten under, a shot ahead of Scott Hend, with Paul Dunne and Miguel Angel Jiménez a further stroke back.
