Jamie’s depiction of ‘Golf in the Highlands’ has been made into a 2.4m x 1m on-course board at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, taking place at Castle Stuart Golf Links this week.

The board is placed in a prime spot on the first tee and will be seen by some of the world’s best golfers as they take to the course this week, as well as by millions on TV.

In addition to having his artwork turned into a course board the tournament, Jamie and his family have been invited to the Aberdeen Asset Management Pavilion for afternoon tea during the event. One thousand pounds worth of junior golf equipment will also be donated to Jamie’s school, Kilchuimen Academy, Fort Augustus.

Jamie said: “I’m really thrilled to meet Paul Lawrie and to see my design actually on the golf course. I think it was my Dad who was the most excited of all though! I’m looking forward to coming back to the tournament at the weekend.”

Lawrie said: “I enjoyed meeting Jamie and his Dad and seeing the board on the golf course. It looks even better in full size than it did on A4 when I picked the winning entry last month.”
