Former European Ryder Cup Captain Bernhard Langer started the 2017 PGA TOUR Champions season with victory at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship in Hawaii.
Langer, who won his third consecutive Charles Schwab Cup last year after finishing number one in America, finished one stroke ahead of former United States Ryder Cup player Fred Couples.
Colin Montgomerie, Europe’s victorious Ryder Cup Captain in 2010, finished in a share of 13th alongside fellow European Senior Tour member David Frost.
Paul Broadhurst, winner of the John Jacobs Trophy last season for topping the Senior Tour Order of Merit, finished tied for 20th.
Miguel Angel Jiménez, Jesper Parnevik and Esteban Toledo shared 23rd place at Hualalai Golf Club and Roger Chapman and Sandy Lyle finished with a share of 43rd.
