Langer Launches Putts4Charity Champions' Challenge

Germany’s Bernard Langer was on target as he launched Genworth’s Putts4Charity Champions’ Challenge in the tented village at the BMW international Open in Munich.

The two-time Major Champion holed three putts to sit in second place on the overall pro leader board, behind Welshman Rhys Davies who holed all four putts at the BMW PGA Championship last month.

Langer’s appearance raised €2,000 for SOS Children’s Villages (SoS Kinderdörfer), who provide vital support to abandoned and orphaned children across Germany, courtesy of the Genworth Foundation.

Throughout the week members of the public will also have the chance to test their putting skills by trying to hole the four iconic putts.  Participants will not only have the chance to see if they can better the professionals, but come Sunday those with the highest scores will also win some fantastic prizes such as a Tour bag signed by Ross Fisher.

All donations will go to SoS Kinderdörfer.
