Koepka keen to keep on winning

Having taken the Challenge Tour by storm, Brooks Koepka now intends to resume his winning streak on The European Tour at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.

The 23 year old American won in Italy, Spain and Scotland to gain promotion to The European Tour before the halfway stage of the Challenge Tour season.

For many that would already constitute a successful year, but Koepka has now set his sights on beating some of the biggest names in golf at Castle Stuart Golf Links.

“I'm really excited,” said Koepka, who will be playing his first event as a full European Tour Member. “It will be a good week, a good experience.

“I’m playing well and things are going really well. I went in with the expectations, obviously to win a couple times, but to win and get back to the States for a break was nice. It's special, winning three times. It was unbelievable. I don't think I really expected it.

“I think it's just the beginning - I've been playing well. Did I expect this all of a sudden? Not really, but if you keep playing well and keep grinding, good things will happen. Hopefully I will get a win - maybe this week - but hopefully before the end of the year.

“I think I put more pressure on myself than anybody.  But at the end of the day, it's just golf.  You just have to go out and do your thing.”
