Martin Kaymer got his defence of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship off to an ideal start by winning the pre-tournament pro-am.
Kaymer’s first taste of playing with a scorecard in his hand in 2011 ended in winning style when he and his team from HSBC combined for a 21 under par total to take the Pro-Am title.
Having won two of the last three Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship titles, and finishing second in between those two victories, Kaymer’s Pro-Am victory underlined the European Number One’s liking for the National Course.
