Just another day in WA for Olesen and co.

Ahead of the ISPS Handa World Super 6 Perth, Denmark's Thorbjorn Olesen made a day trip out to nearby Rottnest Island for a unique experience at Perth's island playground.

Joined by England's Jordan Smith, China's Wu Ashun and local boy Lucas Herbert, Olesen and co. travelled to the tiny island paradise, located 19km off the coast of Perth, by chopper.

After touching down on a fairway at the Rottnest Island Golf Club, the foursome played a couple of holes before heading off to explore the island, which is only 19 square kilometres in size.

Cars are not allowed, bar the park rangers, so the best way to get around is by bike...

Rottnest is also the home of the smallest marsupial in existence (essentially a tiny kangaroo), a creature called a 'Quokka' that lives exclusively on the island. They're very friendly, too, and are happy to pose for the traditional #QuokkaSelfie...

Next up was a trip down to 'The Basin' one of 63 glorious white sand beaches on Rottnest Island, for some incredible snorkelling.

A winner at this week's venue three years ago in the Perth International event, Olesen is back in the state capital of Western Australia for the all-new, mixed format World Super 6 that will see 54 holes of strokeplay precede a day of six-hole knockout match play on Sunday.
