Joburg Open: Day 2 In Numbers

It was an interesting day at Royal Johannesburg and Kenington Golf Club with plenty of changes on the leaderboard. Here's a look at the most interesting numbers and statistics from the second round of the Joburg Open.

Richard Sterne

131 - The 36 hole total of our leader Wallie Coetsee.

1999- The year Coetsee last finished in the top ten at a European Tour event, the Mercedes-Benz Vodacom South African Open.

74- The numbers of players that made the cut at -4 of better. Among those are Wallie Coetsee, George Coetzee, Charl Coetzee and Francois Coetzee. We're clearly in South Africa!

63 - Low score of the day from Alex Noren. His bogey-free second round was the Swede's sixth round of the season without a dropped shot, more than anyone else on The European Tour.

-18- The number of shots under par for the three Swedes in the top ten on day two: Noren (63), Fasth (67), Broberg (67).

65 - Andy Sullivan's score today. The Englishman shot the lowest score on the tough East Course (tied with Callum Mowat) to get himself into contention, currently tied 21st.

6 - The number of strokes it took Benjamin Hebert to play the longest back-to-back par fours in golf. The Frenchman birdied the 500 yard 10th hole and the 518 yard 11th hole on the East Course today. Hebert is the only player to birdie both holes in the same round this week.

78 - The second round score of the overnight leader, Nic Henning. The 45 year old missed the cut by one stroke.
