Previously known as the Barbasol Championship, the ISCO Championship is once again providing a platform for players from the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR to compete for benefits on both Tours.
As part of the Strategic Alliance between the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, upwards of 50 DP World Tour members will take their place in the 156-strong field this week at Champions at Keene Trace Golf Club in Kentucky.
Coinciding with the Genesis Scottish Open, co-sanctioned with the PGA TOUR, the ISCO Championship forms part of the Closing Swing on the DP World Tour’s new-look 2024 Race to Dubai schedule.
Last year, the tournament was won by 2023 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year nominee Vincent Norrman, who defeated Nathan Kimsey in a play-off to win his first PGA TOUR title.
Kimsey, who topped the Challenge Tour's Road to Mallorca Rankings, would have been the first player to win on his PGA TOUR debut since 1988.
With players from both sides of the Atlantic vying for a $4 million purse, the winner will receive 300 FedExCup points and 500 Race to Dubai Ranking Points.
The winner will also be exempt on both Tours through 2026 (through 2025 on PGA TOUR for non-members).
American Johannes Veerman, winner of the 2021 D+D Real Czech Masters, is the highest-ranked player on the Race to Dubai ranking in the field this week.
In his seven starts on the PGA TOUR, his best finish came at the 2023 Barracuda Championship (T20).
Among other recognisable figures from the DP World Tour teeing it up stateside are Ryder Cup Team Europe Vice Captain Edoardo Molinari, along with four-time DP World Tour winners Rafa Cabrera Bello and Andy Sullivan.
Angel Hidalgo, who will play at The 152nd Open next week after coming through Final Qualifying, has made the trip to Nicholasville ahead of the Spaniard's Major Championship debut at Royal Troon.
Marcus Kinhult narrowly missed out on his second DP World Tour title in a play-off last month at the KLM Open and the Swede has made the journey too.
David Micheluzzi, who secured his card for this season through PGA TOUR of Australasia Order of Merit last year, is another player who comes with good momentum after he finished tie second last week at the BMW International Open.
The tournament also offers opportunity for graduates of the Challenge Tour, with the top three on last season's season-long rankings all teeing it up.
Marco Penge, Casey Jarvis and Manuel Elvira are joined by Andrea Pavan and Sam Bairstow among other graduates looking to bolster their standing further on the Race to Dubai.
American James Nicholas, who finished tied fifth in Italy on the DP World Tour last month, returns to home soil as one of ten graduates of the Qualifying School.
This week is the ninth edition of the ISCO Championship, with the last seven editions all being decided by one stroke or a play-off.
