David Horsey took control of the Made in Denmark as he made the turn in 32 to open up a five shot lead at Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort.

Horsey came into day three with a three shot lead over Richard Green and John Parry and quickly moved to 13 under with a gain on the first for the second consecutive day.

Further birdies followed on the third and fourth and when the Englishman eagled the sixth, he was 17 under and his lead was up to five shots.

The 30 year old briefly had a seven shot advantage after Richard Green found the water on the seventh to double bogey but Terry Pilkadaris made a birdie on the eighth and turned in 33 to reduce the gap.

The gap was then closed further as Horsey dropped a shot on the tough ninth for the second day running.

Green had been three under for his round before his double and he was six shots back alongside Peter Lawrie who had picked up birdies on the third sixth and tenth holes to sit ten under.

Bradley Dredge was a further shot back with Parry also at nine under after two birdies and two bogeys on his front nine.

Frenchman Julien Guerrier was the clubhouse leader at six under after a 66.

Merrick Bremner, David Lipsky, Richard Bland, Andrea Pavan and Daniel Brooks had also recorded 66 early in the day after starting in the large group that were on the cut line on level par.
