Horne cuts Grillo's advantage

Keith Horne trimmed Emiliano Grillo's overnight lead to one shot as the first round of the Hero Indian Open was completed on Friday morning.

Grillo had signed for a course-record equalling 65 to get to seven under in the fading light on day one, a day when DLF Golf and Country Club bared its teeth once again, leaving 24 players out on the course as the sun set.

One of those players was Horne and when he returned at 07.00 on day two, he made his par on the eighth and then a birdie on the ninth to sign for a bogey-free 66 and sit just one off the lead.

Frenchman Adrien Saddier had just one hole of his round remaining and he parred the last to card a 67 and join Pablo Larrazábal, Matteo Manassero and Paul Peterson at five under.

Marc Warren and Ajeetesh Sandhu were in the clubhouse overnight at four under, while Jens Dantorp parred his remaining holes to stay alongside Ricardo Gouveia, Sébastien Gros, Matt Wallace and Jeunghun Wang in the group four shots off the lead.
