Hollywood actor Tom Holland, who rose to global fame portraying Spider-Man in Marvel superhero films, including ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, will be amongst the entertainment and sports stars playing in this year’s BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am at Wentworth Club on Wednesday, September 13, with tickets on sale now.
Making it a family affair, the A-lister will be joined by twin siblings Sam, a budding chef, and Harry Holland, who is also an actor and budding director, having appeared in a number of films, including a cameo alongside older brother Tom in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
Also taking on the famed West Course ahead of the fourth Rolex Series event of the 2023 season will be England cricket stars James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Ben Stokes, all three of whom will tee it up at Wentworth Club following a summer of Ashes cricket.
Holland, the British actor and dancer, who made his big breakthrough playing the title role in the musical Billy Elliot in London's West End in 2008, has quickly emerged as one of Hollywood’s most exciting and versatile young actors.
He has gained worldwide recognition after starring as super-hero Spider-Man since 2016. The 2019 edition of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ smashed box office numbers and currently stands as the second highest grossing film of all time.
Anderson, Broad and Stokes are three of England’s greatest ever cricketers, having written their names into the record books on numerous occasions. Broad and Anderson have formed a formidable bowling partnership for the England Test team over the last 15 years, with Anderson having taken the most test wickets by a seam bowler in the history of the game with 685, and Broad occupying second place with 576.
Stokes, the captain of the test team, has proven time and again that he is the man for the big occasion. The 31-year-old played a memorable innings in the 2019 Cricket World Cup final, scoring 84 not out to tie the game before also batting in the Super Over and being named Man of the Match. Later that year, he played a pivotal role in enabling England ultimately to draw the 2019 Ashes series 2–2 with an incredible 135 not out in a pursuit of a record 359.

That is followed by the star-studded Wednesday Celebrity Pro-Am which brings together global celebrities and some of golf’s most famous players in a fun-filled curtain raiser to the main event, the BMW PGA Championship, which tees off on Thursday September 14.
