It was all change at the top of the Irish Open presented by Discover Ireland leaderboard when the third round began at Killarney Golf & Fishing Club.
Overnight leader Marcel Siem parred his opening two holes, but bunkered his tee shot at the third, splashed to ten feet and failed to convert his par putt.
Australian Richard Green picked up three shots in his first six holes to overtake the German on ten under, and Jeev Milkha Singh made it a tie at the top with a birdie at the second.
Players were queuing up behind the leading pair to have a tilt at the title – David Howell and Christian Nilsson both advancing to nine under with five and nine holes remaining respectively.
They were level with Siem, while English trio Simon Dyson, Barry Lane and John Parry were a shot further back, alongside New Zealander Mark Brown, Dane Søren Hansen and Ireland’s Peter Lawrie.
Green and Singh had company when Dyson birdied the sixth and two-putted the long seventh to reach ten under as well.
He was out-playing partner and defending champion Ross Fisher, who bogeyed the second and sixth before also making four on the 513 yard seventh to get back to six under.
The 36 year old was 11 under as well and he and Dyson were one in front of Green and Singh.
