Branden Grace landed his first title on American soil with victory in the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town.
The South African, a seven-time European Tour winner, shot a closing 66 for a two shot victory over England’s Luke Donald and Scotland’s Russell Knox.
Grace’s first US PGA Tour title came with a nine under par total, with overnight leader Donald shooting a level par 71 and Knox signing for a 67.
Having birdie his first two holes, Grace bogeyed the short fourth but two-putted the long next and further gains at the sixth and ninth took him to the turn in 32.
Consecutive birdies from ten feet at the 12th and 13th sent Grace clear, and although he bogeyed the 17th from the bunker, Donald was unable to reel him in down the stretch.
