Genworth Stats Pack - Round 3 Review

Henrik Stenson converted seven birdies against a single bogey on his way to a third round 66, to lead by two going into Sunday. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 37 year old Swedish golfer is performing the best of all the players from tee to green by quite some margin. He ranks 2nd for Driving Accuracy (37/42 fairways), 1st for Driving Distance (averaging 326 yards) and 5th for Greens in Regulation (47/54 greens), plus he has hit seven of the Par 5 greens in sub regulation (two shots).

After a slow start, Phil Mickelson converted six birdies over his last eleven holes for a bogey free third round 66. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 43 year old Hall of Famer from the United States is hitting it long off the tee, but with a little less accuracy compared to Stenson. His approach play is looking solid with 44/54 Greens in Regulation and he has scrambled for par 9/10 times when missing the green. Phil also ranks 1st for Par 4 Scoring with a 3.70 average.

John Parry converted six birdies during a bogey free third round 66. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 26 year old Englishman is performing steadily with the longer clubs and his touch on and around the greens seems to be very sharp. He ranks 3rd for Scrambles and 2nd for Putts per Round, plus he ranks 1st for Par 4 Scoring. Interestingly though, his Par 3 Scoring is much worse, so perhaps the Castle Stuart Par 3’s don’t quite fit his eye.

Branden Grace got off to a flying start today with four birdies in the first five holes, then continued on to finish with a third round 66. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 25 year old South African talent is looking solid across the board, but we must draw attention to his performance on the greens. He ranks 1st for Putts per GIR, 2nd for Putts per Round and 1st for 1 Putts per Round, so he definitely has his eye in on the greens.

JB Hansen converted six birdies against three bogeys on his way to a third round 69. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 22 year old Danish golfer is averaging 313 yards off the tee and hitting 83.3% of the Greens in Regulation, plus he ranks inside the top ten in each of the three putting categories. It is all leading to good scoring across the different hole types (being the Par 3’s / Par 4’s / Par 5’s).
