Francesco Molinari converted seven birdies against two bogeys on his way to a second round 67. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 30 year old Italian golfer is performing extremely well from tee to green, ranking 2nd for Driving Accuracy, 25th for Greens in Regulation and 1st for Par 5’s in 2, but the main difference compared to recent weeks (where he has suffered a slight dip in form) is the putting. Francesco ranks high for each of the Genworth putting categories, plus he leads Par 5 Scoring with a 4.13 average. The three time European Tour winner will take lots of home support with him over the weekend.

Simon THORNTON -9
Simon Thornton converted six birdies against a single bogey on his way to a second round 67. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 36 year old Irish golfer is also ranking high for the long game categories (4th for Driving Accuracy and 7th for Greens in Regulation) and scoring well across the different hole types (Par 3’s / Par 4’s / Par 5’s). After his fantastic St Omer win in June, Simon has perhaps struggled a little in terms of results, so a big weekend may do wonders for his confidence to finish the season strong.

Felipe Aguilar converted seven birdies against a single bogey on his way to a second round 66. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 38 year old golfer from Chile is once again hitting the fairways and greens (a common trend for the leading trio), plus he has accumulated the most birdies out of all the players alongside Colsaerts (12 in total so far). Felipe has had a quiet couple of months following some tremendous early season results (which included top 3 finishes in Dubai, Joburg and Spain).
