Genworth Stats Pack - Round 2 Review

Chris Doak converted one eagle and five birdies against a single bogey on his way to a second round 66, to lead by one at the half way stage. Chris has knocked it on four of the Par 5 greens in sub-regulation (two shots), clocking up two eagles, five birdies and just one par on those holes. Currently ranking 136th on the Race to Dubai, he has shown some consistent form coming into this week (making six cuts out of his last seven events), and he will take a lot of home crowd support with him over the weekend.

Peter Uihlein converted eight birdies against a lonesome seven on his way to a second round 66. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the big hitting 23 year old golfer from the United States is averaging 317 yards for Driving Distance whilst accumulating 31/36 Greens in Regulation. Currently ranked 44th on the Race to Dubai, Peter brings some good form into this event, following his win in Madeira.

Matthew Southgate fired one eagle and six birdies on his way to a superb bogey free second round 64. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 24 year old Englishman is looking very solid from tee to green, hitting 25/28 fairways and 32/36 Greens in Regulation, plus he is averaging an impressive 4.38 for Par 5 Scoring. Matthew has only played 29 European Tour events so far in his career, so he is learning all the time. A big weekend would do wonders for his experience and go a long way to securing his full playing rights for next season.

Ross Fisher converted seven birdies without dropping any shots on his way to a second round 65. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 32 year old Englishman has hit 15/28 fairways and 30/36 Greens in Regulation. He is the most experienced of the leading players featured in today’s report, with four European Tour victories to date. Although Ross is applying much of his trade in the United States this year, he has shown great consistency in the five events played so far in Europe.

JB Hansen also converted seven birdies without dropping any shots on his way to a second round 65 (the same as Ross Fisher). Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 22 year old golfer from Denmark is averaging 311 yards for Driving Distance whilst accumulating 29/36 Greens in Regulation, plus he has taken just 54 putts in total. Much the same as Matthew Southgate, JB has only played 20 European Tour events so far in his career, so a big weekend will also do wonders for his experience and go a long way to securing his full playing rights for next season.
