Maximilian Kieffer also converted eight birdies against a single bogey on his way to an opening 65, the same as Colsaerts. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 23 year old German golfer drove the ball accurately and produced some excellent short game figures including 1.417 Putts per GIR, 12 single putts and just 24 putts in total (Robert-Jan Derksen deserves a special mention here whereby he took just 22 putts today - holing three shots from off the greens).

Ricardo GONZALEZ -7
Ricardo Gonzalez converted one eagle and six birdies against a single bogey on his way to an opening 65, to make it a three way tie at the top. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 43 year old golfer from Argentina is strong across the board, including ranking 1st for Driving Distance (averaging a huge 319 yards off the tee) and 1st for Par 5 Scoring (with an eagle and three birdies on those holes). Ricardo finished runner-up in a playoff in Scotland at the end of last month, but he has missed three cuts in a row since then. This is a welcome return to form.
