Genworth Stats Pack - Day 2 Review

Wade Ormsby has converted ten birdies against three bogeys over the first two days for his -7 total. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 33 year old Australian has hit 20/28 fairways and 25/36 greens in regulation, but it is his short game which really seems to be performing. Wade has scrambled 10/11 times when missing the greens and he has taken just 54 putts in total.

Arnond Vongvanij has hit 18/28 fairways and 22/36 greens in regulation so far but he is producing some incredible short game statistics. The 24 year old golfer from Thailand (who has spent much of his youth growing up in the United States) has scrambled 14/14 times for Pars when missing the greens and he has single putted on no less than 22 occasions. His only bogey has come from a 3-putt.

With top ten finishes in each of the last two years Alexander Noren seems to be continuing his love affair with the Blackstone course, with a bogey free second round of 67 today. So far for the event, the 30 year old Swedish golfer has hit 16/28 fairways and 26/36 greens in regulation, plus he has scrambled 8/10 times when missing the greens (including 3/3 Sand Saves).

James Morrison tends to get going around April time each year, with this year being no exception. After a solid performance last week in Spain, the 28 year old Englishman’s long game has been very strong over the first two days, hitting 23/28 fairways and a superb 32/36 greens in regulation (which included hitting all 18 greens on his way to a bogey free 66 today).

Interestingly, Jbe Kruger has managed to hit just 10 fairways in the first 36 holes although he has averaged a healthy 290 yards for the Genworth Driving Distance statistic. The 26 year old South African has however been pretty steady with his approach play and he has been much sharper around the greens (scrambling 10/12 times for Par and averaging just 27 Putts per Round).
