While most other players (including many of the marquee names) were faltering on the back nine, James Kingston navigated his way home in 33 shots for an overall score of 66 (6 under Par) and a one shot lead. Mikko ILONEN -5
Mikko Ilonen converted six birdies against one bogey on his way to a first round 67 in the cold and breezy conditions. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 33 year old golfer from Finland hit 9/14 fairways and 13/18 greens in regulation, plus he scrambled 4/5 times for Par when the green was missed and took 27 putts in total. The same as James Kingston, Mikko navigated his way around the Wentworth course keeping out of trouble for the most part (which is the key to playing this golf course).
