Garcia makes his move

Sergio Garcia was the man making the biggest move up the leaderboard as the third round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship began in Florida, but JB Holmes extended his lead in spectacular style.

American Holmes, two clear overnight, was caught by his compatriot Ryan Moore after a bogey at the first for the second day running.

But he restored the four shot advantage he held after a sparkling opening 62 when he then aced the fourth to reach ten under.

Adam Scott was level par through four holes to sit second on six under, with Garcia in the group a shot further back.

The Spaniard produced birdies at the first, second and sixth to reach five under and join Moore, who triple bogeyed the third, and Dustin Johnson.

Amazingly Johnson had also had a hole-in-one at the fourth just two groups earlier - both players having used a seven iron on the 207 yard par three, which was playing downwind and far easier than on the first two days.

Garcia was not the only European going well – Henrik Stenson was in a share of sixth on four under, with Shane Lowry turning in 32 to join Lee Westwood on three under.
