During the Real Club Valderrama Open de España hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation Pro-Am, amateurs took part in a Hit the Green competition to raise funds for Garcia's chosen charity.

Amateurs had the chance to make a €20 donation to the Asociación Española Contra el Cancer (AECC) and in return could win a signed Garcia hat if they hit the green of the 225-yard par three 15th hole with their tee shot.

Additionally, Solán de Cabras, the tournament water sponsor, made a €5 donation for each player, both professionals and amateurs, who managed to successfully find the green on the 15th, named El Puerto.

Garcia’s Foundation aims to raise enough money to be able to provide apartments for families whose children are undergoing cancer treatment in Castellón, Garcia’s home town.
