Sweden’s Anders Forsbrand grabbed a top five finish as former Senior Open Champion Russ Cochran triumphed at the SAS Championship on the US PGA Champions Tour.
Forsbrand fired a closing 69 at Prestonwood Country Club in North Carolina to finish in a share of fifth place, while 2012 MCB Tour Championship winner David Frost of South Africa was alone in second place after closing just one shot behind victor Cochran, who secured the win with an aggregate total of 17 under par.
Australia’s Peter Senior finished in a tie for eighth after a third consecutive round of 69, alongside Germany’s Bernhard Langer, while Scotland’s Colin Montgomerie finished ten shots off the pace in a tie for 18th place.
