GOLFER ADMITS ‘HE DOESN’T HIT IT GREAT’

Never one to shy away from an opinion, and known for being one of the biggest characters on the PGA Tour, Pat Perez had some interesting things to say following his second round 68 in Scotland.

Despite being just one shot off the lead, the 42 year old not only claimed that he didn’t hit the ball well during his three under par round, but also that he isn’t a good striker of the ball. We’re not sure we believe him, but whatever you think, you have to admire Perez’s honesty. Over to you Pat…

"The thing is about this golf course is you don't have to hit it that great, and that's good for me because I don't hit it that great."

THE AMERICAN HOUSE OF FUN

In days gone by the thought of seven high profile American players sharing a house together at a Major Championship would’ve been unthinkable, but that’s exactly what is happening this week with Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Zach Johnson, Kevin Kisner, Jason Dufner and Jimmy Walker all sharing a pad, because well, why not.

And it appears to be working with two of those American players sharing the lead, and two others in the top 15. Fowler revealed in his post-round interview that the players have a chef over with them, who is cooking them some of the nicest steaks known to man, while Sky Sports pundit Butch Harmon revealed that there’s been plenty of high jinx in the mansion, with the players playing pranks on one another. Sounds great. We’re just gutted we haven’t been invited to the pad…
