Oliver Fisher joined Bryson DeChambeau at the top of the leaderboard as Patrick Reed also made a charge through the field early on day two of the Porsche European Open.

Englishman Fisher picked up two shots in his first ten holes to sit alongside overnight leader De Chambeau at six under, with Masters Tournament champion Reed just a shot back after a hat-trick of birdies on the back nine.

Welshman Bradley Dredge, Dane Søren Kjeldsen and local favourite Philipp Mejow were then at four under, with many of the leading contenders due out in the afternoon at Green Eagle Golf Courses.

Fisher's only European Tour win so far came at the Czech Open in 2011 but he finished second earlier in the year at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters and had a roller coaster on Friday, birdieing the first, fourth, seventh and ninth and giving shots back at the second and sixth.

American Reed currently sits second in the Race to Dubai Rankings presented by Rolex and he started his round with five pars before making gains on the 15th, 16th and 17th to turn in 35.

DeChambeau was due out with the later starters, as were French pair Joël Stalter and Romain Wattel, and German Benedict Staben – who were all five under.

Mejow and Kjeldsen were one under for the day after 11 and seven holes respectively, while Dredge was level par after eight.
