The Challenge Tour Grand Final is fast approaching with only two months to go until 45 European Tour hopefuls tee it up at Club de Golf Alcanada from November 7-10.

The top five players have secured their place at the season finale, after collecting over 480,000 between them. Road to Mallorca Number One Calum Hill has 107,763 points while Richard Bland is hot on his heels in second place with 101,206.
Also looking to knock Hill off the top as they go in search of securing their European Tour status for 2020 are two-time Challenge Tour winner Antoine Rozner, Portugal’s Ricardo Santos and European Challenge Tour rookie Matthew Jordan. The trio occupy third, fourth and fifth place respectively and will be part of 45-man field at Club de Golf Alcanada.
*Six in the mix *
There are currently six players inside the top 45 on the Road to Mallorca who have played less than ten Challenge Tour events in 2019.
Dale Whitnell (16th), Rhys Enoch (20th), Eirik Tage Johansen (30th), Sebastian Heisele (32nd), Oliver Farr (40th) and Laurie Canter (42nd) are the six European Tour hopefuls who occupy a top 45 berth having played single figure events.
Whitnell won the KPMG Trophy two weeks ago, Enoch lifted the D+D REAL Slovakia Challenge trophy in July, Johansen clinched the Andalucía – Costa del Sol Match Play 9 in June and Heisele was crowned the Open de Bretagne champion last week.
Meanwhile Farr has two top five finishes to his name and Canter finished runner-up to Whitnell in Belgium.
Big man, big move
Jonathan Thomson recorded his best result of the season at the Open de Bretagne with a third-place finish following weekend rounds of 66-65.
The Englishman, who stands at six foot and nine inches tall, soared up the Road to Mallorca Rankings from 135th to 59th place, and currently sits 14 spots away from making the Grand Final.
Another top five result could be enough for Thomson to force his way into the season-finale as he looks to bounce back to the European Tour.
