The first counting week for the game will be at next week’s Masters Tournament, with plenty of new and improved features to help users get even more enjoyment out of the interactive game, and even more cool prizes up for grabs.
This year, the five players who finish in the top five positions on the global leaderboard will each win the following:
- A set of the latest Titleist irons (3-PW)
- The latest Titleist carry golf bag
- A year's supply of Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls** (6 dozen)
Users will be able to compete in a head-to-head format, in a private league, or against every other player who signs up in the overall league, with players asked to pick a team made up of six European Tour members, with one of those being designated Captain and another Vice Captain.
Another new feature for the 2016 edition of the game is the ability to salvage the situation if one of your team does not make the cut after round two, by unlocking the Cut Replacement option. This boost will replace one of your players who missed out on the weekend with another player still in the field after round two!
There is also an auto-replacement function, which will help you if you have done the unforgivable and forgotten to change your team, by replacing a player not in the field with someone who is - making sure you don’t miss out on those vital points!
And if you see one of your friends boasting about their golfing knowledge on social media, why not invite them to take part in the 2016 Fantasy Race to Dubai, with users now able to invite their Facebook friends to compete for bragging rights.
Last season’s Fantasy Race to Dubai Champion Gareth Clayton beat more than 20,000 other golfing fans who played the interactive game – and bagged some amazing prizes in the process.
