Viktor Hovland
The world number 14 is making his second appearance at Wentworth, having finished tied-11th in 2019. He got his first European Tour win at the BMW International Open in June and his form is good with a run of T43-T17-T4 in the FedEx Cup play-offs coming into this week. His excellent ball-striking and approach play should suit this venue.
Shane Lowry
The Irishman has a fantastic record at Wentworth, with a 2nd, a 4th, a couple of 6th place finishes and four more top-15s in 11 visits. He’s been really consistent over the last few months, only finishing outside the top-26 twice in his last 12 tournaments. He’s also notched three top-6s in that period. I’m expecting a big performance this week to guarantee his place in compatriot Padraig Harrington’s Ryder Cup team.
Alex Noren
The 2017 champion in this event has come into form at just the right time for a big finish to the season – and a potential place in the European Ryder Cup team. He finished T4 and T9 in the first two FedEx Cup play-off events in his last two starts and had three top-16s in the six prior to that. He also has a 3rd and 8th at Wentworth in recent years, and he’s 13th on the PGA Tour in ‘strokes gained - putting’.

Bernd Wiesberger
Wiesberger is an 8 time European Tour winner and on the cusp of making his Ryder Cup debut at the age of 35. After the heartbreak of doubling the last hole in Switzerland to lose he needs to bounce back in a strong field this week at Wentworth.
His ball striking is strong with 71% of greens hit this year and ranks 3rd in strokes gained tee to green. Having already won two Rolex Series in his career, a third title would likely be enough to secure the Austrians place on the plane to Whistling Straits.
Ian Poulter
The English loves playing in front of a ground. The sell out home crowd this week will have The Postman in his element. 5th here last year, Poulter is looking for a good week to guarantee a pick for the Ryder Cup. He has been Mr Consistent on the PGA Tour but shown signs of a win when playing back in Europe, finishing T4 at the Scottish Open. He is a must pick on any team, even Fantasy.
Tommy Fleetwood
The five-time European Tour winner has had a relatively quiet year by his standards, but he finished tied-2nd in the DS Automobiles Italian Open last week. He’s not the longest off the tee, but that isn’t a problem at Wentworth and his accuracy should yield scoring opportunities. He has a decent record here, with a T6, T13 and T20 in the last six BMW PGA Championships.
