Last year Ross McGowan was victorious at Centro Nacional de Golf to claim his maiden European Tour title. Ross set up his win with a third round of 60 and eventually finished the week 3 shots clear of his nearest challenger. ETW met up with Ross before his defence to hear about his memories from last year as well as his hopes for the week ahead.

As always we will review all of the best of the action from the most recent European Tour event. This week that means a return trip to Wentworth for the BMW PGA Championship. The cream of European golf assembled at the testing Surrey venue. European Tour Weekly will highlight all of the best of the action from the remodelled West Course.

Making his first tournament appearance in Europe in 2010 was Ernie Els who for the last four years has overseen the drastic changes at Wentworth. European Tour Weekly met up with Ernie to hear about his thoughts on the new-look West Course as well as his change of fortunes on the course that has seen him climb to 7th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

One of the highlights of the BMW PGA Championship week is The European Tour Annual Dinner and ETW was there to celebrate all the drama and excitement. The top four on The 2009 Race to Dubai, led by Number One Lee Westwood, were among a host of European Tour champions and guests from around the World at the Sofitel Heathrow.

In a special feature ETW takes a look at the five candidates bidding to become the hosts for The 2018 Ryder Cup. Over the past month The Ryder Cup 2018 Evaluation Panel have taken delivery of bid documents from France, Holland, Portugal, Germany and Spain.

Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour, this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
