Enjoy the experience of the BMW PGA Championship

The BMW PGA Championship is more than a golf tournament – it’s about fun, family, fashion and food. In fact, the unique atmosphere and ambiance is, more than ever, an engaging social experience.

Tented Village at the BMW PGA Championship

Enjoy music? Well, the Tented Village at the BMW PGA Championship is likely to prove more popular than ever this year, with hit band The Allstars performing on the BMW Show Stage after play on both Saturday and Sunday.

Having worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Lulu, Roger Daltrey, Alesha Dixon, Katie Melua and Jamelia, The Allstars are sure to keep visitors to the Village on their feet after a day spent tramping the West Course’s hallowed fairways.

On the Saturday evening after the Allstars have performed on the Show Stage, the UEFA Champions League Final between Manchester United and FC Barcelona will be shown on the big screen in the Tented Village at 7.45 pm. Bar and catering facilities will remain open until after the match.

Enjoy listening to the world’s best players discussing their rounds? That form of entertainment is provided by ‘Cotter’s Questions’, a Q&A session hosted by BBC commentator Andrew Cotter and featuring two leading players taking questions from the floor at lunchtime on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Enjoy cars? The main focus of the ‘village experience’ will again be the BMW display, where visitors can view the latest models, take part in the BMW Golfing Challenge or simply enjoy refreshments in a relaxed and informal environment.

Younger guests can head to the EA Sports Hub to try out the latest computer games.

The popular ‘Putts for Charity’ scheme, organised by Genworth, returns this year, incorporating a new innovation, the Champions’ Challenge.

Enjoy relaxing? The BMW Owners’ Lounge will again feature a café and bistro serving complimentary soft drinks. BMW drivers can also watch the action from the private Viewing Galleries situated by the side of the seventh and 14th greens. All spectators can take advantage of the complimentary BMW Crèche for children up to the age of 12 in the Tented Village.

Enjoy eating and drinking? The Theatre of Food and the Moët Bar & Brasserie cater for all tastes, whilst dedicated followers of golfing fashion should head for the Official BMW PGA Championship Merchandise tent selling all the latest attire from Hugo Boss.

Quite simply – an experience to enjoy!
