Six players shared the halfway lead overnight – Jamie Donaldson, Pelle Edberg, Maarten Lafeber, Peter Lawrie, David Lynn and Simon Wakefield all lying eight under par at the halfway stage.

Parr, who missed out on a European Tour card at last season’s Qualifying School, was five under par with six to play.

The 28 year old also impressed on his previous display this season – he was firmly in the hunt for the Joburg Open until a final round 72 left him 13th.

Former Qualifying School graduate Dubuisson birdied three in a row from the second to join Parr, as the promising 21 year old chases a first European Tour title.
