Luke Donald remained in the hunt for the Tour Championship as a two under par 68 left him two behind halfway leader Adam Scott at East Lake.
Australian Scott moved to the top of the leaderboard with a five under par 65 in the US PGA Tour’s final FedEx Cup event.
World Number One Donald, aiming to win both the FedEx Cup and Race to Dubai, mixed four birdies with two birdies to lie six under in Atlanta.
Korean K J Choi is second after matching Scott’s 65, with Australian Jason Day joining Donald in third.
