England's Luke Donald played an almost faultless front nine in his World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship quarter-final with Ryan Moore in Tucson.

Donald, looking to win his first tournament in America for five years and with it move to number three in the Official World Golf Ranking, was four up after the first nine holes, having picked up shots on his opponent on the first, third, sixth, eighth and ninth holes, with Moore winning one back on the fourth.

Following Donald round the course in the day's second last-eight tie were America's Matt Kuchar and Y E Yang, with Kuchar two shots ahead after seven holes.

World Number Two Martin Kaymer led Ryder Cup team-mate Miguel Angel Jiménez by two after seven holes, with Jiménez's putting often leaving him in trouble against the ruthless German.

Bubba Watson was horribly out of form in his tie against JB Holmes, trailing by three after six holes.
