• Amateur Champion, Matteo Manassero will make history by becoming the youngest player to compete in the Masters Tournament, aged 16 and 354 days. The Italian will beat the previous record of Tommy Jacobs, who was 17 and 49 days when he competed in 1952.

• Italian brothers, Edoardo and Francesco Molinari will be making the debut in the Masters Tournament. As well as being  the first brothers to play in the same Masters Tournament since Masashi  and Naomichi Ozaki in 2000.

• The 2010 Masters Tournament will be the first time three Italian players will be competing in the same year.

• Sandy Lyle will be making his 29th Masters Tournament appearance, representing a new record for a European Tour Member.

•  Anthony Kim created Masters Tournament history in 2009 by making 11 birdies in his second round of  65 (-7). This is the most birdies in a single Masters Tournament round.

• Gary Player extended his record for most Masters Tournament appearances. In 2009 he competed for the 52nd time.
