The children, who receive care, education, therapy and rehabilitation at the centre, were hosted by The European Tour Wives’ Association as they visited Wentworth Club’s driving range, players’ lounge, 18th green and first tee, where they were greeted by George O’Grady, Chief Executive of The European Tour, and Tim Abbott, BMW UK’s Managing Director.

The children also met some players on the driving range, where they collected autographs and some even hit shots before enjoying afternoon tea in the players’ lounge.

Angie Turner, Head of Fundraising at The Children’s Trust, said: “It was wonderful to see the children and their families enjoying themselves, and we can’t thank the team at the BMW PGA Championship enough – they really have made dreams come true today.”
