Day 1 in Numbers: Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open

63 - American Luke List leads after 18 holes of the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open thanks to an opening 63.

- List equalled the course record at Gullane Golf Club. Thorbjørn Olesen and Joost Luiten both posted 63s in 2015.

7 - This is just List's seventh appearance on the European Tour.

2010- List's 63 is his lowest competitive score since 2010. The Seattle-native shot 63 in the second round of the 2010 Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open.

5 - There are five men tied for second on 64 - Robert Rock, Rickie Fowler, Scott Fernandez, Jens Dantorp and Lee Westwood.

66.4- Fowler's scoring average at Gullane is now 66.4. In five previous rounds his scores have been, 66, 68, 66, 68 and 64.

2- The American dropped just his second shot on Gullane's back nine in five rounds. He is 11 under on the closing stretch in that time.

1998- It's 20 years since Lee Westwood won the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.

1 - Dantorp's 64 is his lowest ever opening round score on tour.

29 - Patrick Reed went out in 29 shots, the lowest front nine of the day. The Texan made five birdies in a row from the par five second to the par four sixth.

28- The record low nine at the Scottish Open is 28, set by both Colin Montgomerie and Peter O'Malley in 1992.

3 - World Number Three Justin Rose is the highest-ranked player in the field.

4.16 - The 532-yard par five second hole was the easiest of the day. There were eight eagles and 96 birdies, contributing to a scoring average of 4.16.

200- Peter Whiteford is making his 200th appearance on the European Tour. The Scot's injury problems means he is making his first tour appearance since 2016.
